What i am working on

There are 4 species of horseshoe crabs in our biodiversity. Only 2 can be found in our waters- Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda and Tachypleus gigas, the latter relatively less common (classified as vulnerable by the Singapore Red Data Book).
As sightings of these ancient species at the Kranji mangroves became rarer in the recent years, concerns are raised about the health of their population.

And so the population and distribution of C. rotundicauda and T. gigas at the Kranji mangroves has become the topic of my UROPs project.
