TigerfishCentrogenys vagiensis Family Serranidae These are bottom-dwelling fish on sand/mud substrates which mimic venomous scorpion fishes. They feed on small fish and prawns. They possess prickly dorsal spines which can inflict painful stings, but they are not true venomous fish as they do not have venom glands. (Length 4-6cm). |
