jacket or Filefish Monacanthus Family Balistidae They have a well developed spine in front of their dorsal fin which can be locked in an erect position. They ambush small fish and prawns with their upturned mouth, sucking them in. They can be found in rocky shores, kelongs, fish farms, reefs and among seaweeds. (Length up to 7cm). |
