CrabActaeodes mutatus Family Xanthidae Order Decapoda This species (shell width 2-2.5cm) is common on reefs. They hide in crevices and move about only when the tide is up. A related larger species, A. hirsutissima (shell width up to 5cm) has numerous short, stiff black hairs covering it. |
