Parthenope Parthenope Family Parthenopidae Order Decapoda The cryptic habits and slow movements make this crab appear rare. They prefer sandy/muddy areas near plants like Halimeda and Enhalus, hiding just beneath the surface. They are heavily armoured but placid, feeding on worms and small molluscs. (Shell width 2-3cm).
