![]() Jorunna funebris Family Kentrodoridae Nudibranchs like Jorunna are molluscs which do not have a shell when adult, and have their feather-like gills exposed (hence their name). They occur in a bewildering variety of shapes and colours, feeding on plants, anemones, and a variety of simple animals. They have few enemies because many keep the stinging cells or poisons from their prey within their own tissues for defence. The polka-dot sea slug feeds on sponges. (Length 5cm). |
