| Molluscs They have unsegmented bodies which display a great diversity in form. A large muscular foot and mantle (wide body fold) characterise the phylum. Many secrete shells. They can roughly be divided into three major classes: Gastropoda (shells) Bivalvia (bivalves), and Cephalopoda (squids and octopuses). |
