Marine Flatworms

Almost all marine flatworrns belong to the Class Turbellaria, Order Polycladida, and are common on both soft and hard substrates.

Their colours range from drab to brilliant hues. They move their bodies by means of rhythmic muscular movements, aided by cilia (hairs) and mucus on the ventral surfaces.

They have an extensible mouth for catching small animals. (Lengths 2-5cm).
