Snakelock or Peacock Anemones Cerianthus Order Zoanthidea This genus burrows into sand or mud, leaving its oral end and its long, snake-like tentacles often flush with the substrate surface. They build a mucous tube around their bodies, into which they retract when disturbed. (Diameter, including tentacles, up to 10cm)
