Also found inland, this spider builds a three-dimensional irregular barrier web in which suspends a non-sticky dome-shaped platform, lasting weeks without maintenance.

This nocturnal spider hides in the silken tube within the web during the day, but may drop out of the tube and 'plays dead' by retracting its legs and remaining motionless.
