Mark Davies is a biologist from University of Sunderland, and guest of Ruth O'Riordan who visited NUS for a recce trip to examine gastropods in Singapore canals in July 2004.

We visited the mangroves of Mandai, walking from MB4 to MK3. We saw Excoecaria agalloocha leaf falls, a red-eared terrapin in the Sungei Mandai Besar, gravid horseshoe crabs with her eggs removed, mating horseshoecrabs, and a mangrrove skink.
